Tutoria 23/02/2012
Hoy en tutoría hemos revisado las agendas, haciendo una tarea de autoevaluación, para tomar conciencia de como lo hacemos. Esta actividad la acabaremos en la próxima sesión de tutoría.
Hemos visto este video sobre la percepción distorsionada de la belleza:
Algunos compañeros han dicho "qué fea..." antes de que la maquillaran.
Se invita a hacer una reflexión acerca de la presión que se ejerce sobre las chicas desde los medios de comunicación.
Se recuerda que las chicas somos lindas, tal cual y a todas horas, incluso al levantarnos con los pelos despeinados y legañas. La belleza es otra cosa.
En esta página se pueden encontrar actividades para mejorar la autoestima de las chicas.

Carles Capdevila, Periodista: La educación, dignificando la profesión
Educar debe de ser una cosa parecida a espabilar a los niños y frenar a los adolescentes. Justo lo contrario de lo que hacemos: no es extraño ver niños de cuatro años con cochecito y chupete hablando por el móvil, ni tampoco lo es ver algunos de catorce sin hora de volver a casa. Lo hemos llamado sobreprotección, pero es la desprotección más absoluta: el niño llega al insti sin haber ido a comprar una triste barra de pan, justo cuando un amigo ya se ha pasado a la coca.
Sorprende que haya tanta literatura médica y psicopedagógica para afrontar el embarazo, el parto y el primer año de vida, y que exista un vacío que llega hasta los libros de socorro para padres de adolescentes, esos que lucen títulos tan sugerentes como Mi hijo me pega o Mi hijo se droga . Los niños de entre dos y doce años no tienen quien les escriba. Desde que abandonan el pañal (¡ya era hora!) hasta que llegan las compresas (y que duren), desde que los desenganchas del chupete hasta que te hueles que se han enganchado al tabaco, los padres hacemos una cosa fantástica: descansamos. Reponemos fuerzas del estrés de haberlos parido y enseñado a andar y nos desentendemos hasta que toca irlos a buscar de madrugada a la disco. Ahora que al fin volvemos a poder dormir, y hasta que el miedo al accidente de moto nos vuelva a desvelar, hacemos una siesta educativa de diez o doce años .
Alguien se estremecerá pensando que este período es precisamente el momento clave para educarlos. Tranquilo, que por algo los llevamos a la escuela. Y si llegan inmaduros a primero de ESO que nadie sufra, allá los esperan los colegas de bachillerato que nos los sobreespabilarán en un curso y medio, máximo dos. Al modelo de padres que sobreprotege a los pequeños y abandona los adolescentes nadie los podrá acusar de haber fracasado educando a sus hijos. No lo han intentado siquiera.
Los maestros hacen algo más que huelga o vacaciones, y la educación es bastante más que un problema.
Pido perdón tres veces: por colocar en un título tres palabras tan cursis y pasadas de moda, por haberlo hecho para hablar de los maestros, y, sobre todo sobre todo, porque mi idea es -lo siento mucho- hablar bien de ellos. Sé que mi doble condición de padre y periodista, tan radical que sus siglas son PP, me invita a criticarlos por hacer demasiadas vacaciones (como padre) y me sugiere que hable de temas importantes, como la ley de educación (es lo mínimo que se le pide a un periodista esta semana). Pero estoy harto de que la palabra más utilizada junto a escuela sea 'fracaso' y delante de educación acostumbre a aparecer siempre el concepto 'problema', y que 'maestro' suela compartir titular con 'huelga'. La escuela hace algo más que fracasar, los maestros hacen algo más que hacer huelga (y vacaciones) y la educación es bastante más que un problema. De hecho es la única solución, pero esto nos lo tenemos muy callado, por si acaso.
Mi proceso, íntimo y personal, ha sido el siguiente: empecé siendo padre, a partir de mis hijos aprendí a querer el hecho educativo, el trabajo de criarlos, de encarrilarlos, y, mira por donde, ahora aprecio a los maestros, mis cómplices. ¿Cómo no he de querer a una gente que se dedica a educar a mis hijos? Por esto me duele que se hable mal por sistema de mis queridos maestros, que no son todos los que cobran por hacerlo, claro está, sino los que son, los que suman a la profesión las tres palabras del título, los que mientras muchos padres se los imaginan en una playa de Hawai están encerrados en alguna escuela de verano, haciendo formación, buscando herramientas nuevas, métodos más adecuados.
Os deseo que aprovechéis estos días para rearmaros moralmente. Porque hace falta mucha moral para ser maestro. Moral en el sentido de los valores y moral para afrontar el día a día sin sentir el aprecio y la confianza imprescindibles. Ni los de la sociedad en general, ni los de los padres que os transferimos las criaturas pero no la autoridad. ¿Os imagináis un país que dejara su material más sensible, las criaturas, en sus años más importantes, de los cero a los dieciséis, y con la misión más decisiva, formarlos, en manos de unas personas en quienes no confía?
Las leyes pasan, y las pizarras dejan de ensuciarnos los dedos de tiza para convertirse en digitales. Pero la fuerza y la influencia de un buen maestro siempre marcará la diferencia: el que es capaz de colgar la mochila de un desaliento justificado junto a las mochilas de los alumnos y, ya liberado de peso, asume de buen humor que no será recordado por lo que le toca enseñar, sino por lo que aprenderán de él.

Tutoria 16/02/2012
Hoy en tutoría hemos trabajado como somos.
Algunos, a la pregunta cómo somos, respondemos: qué hago, qué me gusta, quién son mis amigos, o qué quiero ser.
A menudo no nos vemos como nos ven y nuestros compañeros no están de acuerdo con nuestras descripciones. A otros compañeros enseguida los reconocemos, porque se describen tal cual como nosotros los vemos.
Ha sido una actividad muy bonita, gracias.

I'd like to do a project with you in English and Tutoria.
Let's perform West Side Story, it's a bit Romeo and Juliet but in New York, about the Puertorican and Northamerican communities in the 50s. So like now. We'll watch the film, but here you have some songs:
