This blog is aimed mainly at ESL students. It suggests extra practice activities for them and encourages written communication.
As I'm also teaching Arts and Crafts, this blog is updated with some creative projects too.
Trieu-ne un, el que més us agradi o us inspiri.
Heu de fer un dibuix o collage en un paper de mida Din A4. Poseu el vostre nom al darrera, pero no digueu de quina peça de música es tracta, els companys ho hauran d'endevinar.

A big black bug bit a big black bear Whether the weather is warm, whether the weather is cold, we have to put up with the weather, whether we like it or not! Betty Botter had some butter,
"But," she said, "this butter's bitter.
If I bake this bitter butter,
It would make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter,
That would make my batter better."
So she bought a bit of butter –
Better than her bitter butter –
And she baked it in her batter;
And the batter was not bitter.
So 'twas better Betty Botter
Bought a bit of better butter.
Now, let's create our own tongue twister:
Write your first name
What did she/he do?
Where?
When?
Why? Because…
On a piece of blank paper write your answer to question 1.
Pass
the paper to the person on your right. Write an answer to question 2 on
the paper you have just received. Your answer must begin with the first
sound in the person's name (e.g. Bob - bought a bike).
Pass the paper on again and write an answer to question 3, again using the sound at the beginning of the name.
Continue until all the questions have been answered.
Pass the paper back to the person who started with it. Read all of the tongue twisters aloud.
Here you have some examples:
Bob bought a bike in Bali on his birthday because he was bored
Susan sang a song at the seaside on the 6th of September because she saw some sunshine
Laura laughed in the laundrette at lunchtime because she lost her laundry
I got the I/eye/ice
of the tiger, a fighter/fire,
dancing through the fighter/fire
‘cause I am a chimpanzee/champion and you’re gonna hear/here/hair me ROARR...
Louder, louder than a lion/liar
‘cause I am a chimpanzee/champion and you’re gonna hear/here/hair me ROARR
Oh oh oh...
You’re gonna hear/here/hair me ROARRR
Write the missing words
Now I’m floating like a ........
Stinging like a ...... to my own......
You held me down, but I got up
Already brushing off the .....
You hear my ......, you hear that.....
Like a ....., gonna shake the ground
You held me down, but I got up
Get ready ‘cause I’ve had ......
I see it ...... I see it ....
Roar-or, roar-or....
Sometimes we write expressions like we say them
“colloquially”, can you write them “properly”?
You’re gonna
‘cause
Can you think of any other expression like the
ones above?
What do you think "the eye of the tiger" means? When you say someone has "the eye of the tiger" you mean they
are focused on winning and not distracted by "being a team player" or
other sympathetic emotion. In this sense, saying someone has the eye of the
tiger is not always a compliment, but almost always it is a sign of respect.
