Watch this video:
What is Katy singing about?
Put the lines in the correct order:
a) I let you push me past the breaking point
b) I guess that I forgot I had a choice
c) So I sat quietly, agreed politely
d) I used to bit my tongue and hold my breath
e) I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything
f) Scared to rock the boat and make a mess
g) You hear my voice, you hear that sound
h) I see it all, I see it now
i) You held me down, but I got up
j) You held me down, but I got up
k) Get ready ‘cause I’ve had enough
l) Already brushing off the dust
m) Like thunder, gonna shake the ground
Now, listen and circle the word you hear
I got the I/eye/ice
of the tiger, a fighter/fire,
dancing through the fighter/fire
‘cause I am a chimpanzee/champion and you’re gonna hear/here/hair me ROARR...
Louder, louder than a lion/liar
‘cause I am a chimpanzee/champion and you’re gonna hear/here/hair me ROARR
Oh oh oh...
You’re gonna hear/here/hair me ROARRR
Write the missing words
Now I’m floating like a ........
Stinging like a ...... to my own......
You held me down, but I got up
Already brushing off the .....
You hear my ......, you hear that.....
Like a ....., gonna shake the ground
You held me down, but I got up
Get ready ‘cause I’ve had ......
I see it ...... I see it ....
Roar-or, roar-or....
Sometimes we write expressions like we say them
“colloquially”, can you write them “properly”?
You’re gonna
‘cause
Can you think of any other expression like the
ones above?
What do you think "the eye of the tiger" means?
When you say someone has "the eye of the tiger" you mean they are focused on winning and not distracted by "being a team player" or other sympathetic emotion. In this sense, saying someone has the eye of the tiger is not always a compliment, but almost always it is a sign of respect.

I think these worksheet is great. My 6th grade students were very enthusiastic about the song and did all the activities with pleasure. The activities were appropiated for their age and level which is something difficult for me to find. Thanks for sharing it.
Very glad you liked it ^_^
